VA Group appoints Mohamed Saif Al Shaqsi as Executive Director for GCC Region

VA Group, a leading international premium real estate developer, has appointed Mohamed Saif Al Shaqsi as Executive Director for the GCC region, reinforcing its commitment to expanding high-quality developments across Oman and the wider Gulf.

In his new role, Mohamed will lead strategic business initiatives and oversee the delivery of major real estate projects across the region, with a focus on strategic planning, master planning, construction excellence, sustainable development and long-term economic impact aligned with national visions across the GCC.

Commenting on his appointment, Mohammed Saif Al Shaqsi said:

Mohamed Al Shaqsi, an Omani national, brings more than 18 years of leadership experience in project management, construction, real estate and large-scale urban development across Oman and the GCC. His career spans senior roles in real estate and social infrastructure projects, with involvement across key sectors including healthcare, hospitality, retail and food security.

He has led and contributed to the planning and execution of complex, multi-stakeholder developments, supporting economic diversification and enhancing quality of life. His experience includes work on landmark national projects such as Muscat International Airport, Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Oman Botanic Garden and Kempinski Hotel and Apartments, among other high-profile developments.

Mohamed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, combining strong technical expertise with strategic leadership, financial acumen and commercial governance.
